(Pre-Concert, Tomorrow’s Stars 7:00 pm)
Two incredible composers born 200 years apart… where did their paths cross ? What could be their “six degrees of separation”?
The answer is – the year 1932, when Arthur Honegger composed his Prelude, Arioso & Fughetta on the Name of B-A-C-H.
With a program of five contrasting works by the two great composers, parallels can be drawn between these two masters. Starting with the groundbreaking Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and culminating with the Honegger Victorious Second Symphony, the evening is a perfect start of Season 9.
