The Nouvelle Génération Orchestra and its artistic director, Yuli Turovsky, invite you to the third concert of their 2011-12 inaugural season on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 8 pm, which will be held at Université de Montréal's magnificent Salle Claude-Champagne.
Explore new musical horizons and be enchanted by the unique and remarkably expressive sonorities of the cimbalom. The virtuoso Alexandru Sura will leave you dazzled at this little-known instrument's infinite possibilities. Under the skilful hands of conductor and clarinetist Airat Ichmouratov, you will be treated to works by Enesco, Dinicu, Debussy and the great Russian composer, Sergei Prokofiev. Along with performances by violinist and singer Veronica Ungureanu, violinist Robert Margaryan and guest pianist Zhengyu Chen, come celebrate with us Gypsy style, where tradition and innovation, emotion and energy coexist in perfect harmony.
