The Nouvelle Génération Chamber Orchestra is pleased to invite you to the last concert of their 2012-13 season, entitled From Canvas to Score, on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 8 pm, which will be held at the University of Montreal's Salle Claude-Champagne.
As a grand conclusion to the Orchestra's rich and diverse second season, you will discover the music and flair of composer Airat Ichmouratov. Witness the world premiere of his Picture Gallery, an orchestral suite based on paintings by Natasha Turovsky. Let yourself be transported by Fantastic Dances and Windcatcher interpreted by our guest soloists, pianist Wonny Song and clarinetist Mark Simons; not to forget the Cello Concerto, Opus 18 featuring our own Stéphane Tétreault on his Stradivarius cello. Also on the program, Antonio Vivaldi’s celebrated Four Seasons, brilliantly played by soloists of our own Orchestra. A concert of international caliber with talents straight from our own backyard!
