Montréal, vendredi, le 25 janvier 2013 L'orchestre de chambre Nouvelle Génération vous invite au deuxième concert de sa saison 2012-2013 intitulé Aurores boréales, qui sera consacré à la mémoire de son directeur artistique, Yuli Turovsky, le samedi 26 janvier 2013 à 20 h, à la Salle Claude-Champagne de l'Université de Montréal. Joignez-vous à nous pour célébrer la vie et l'oeuvre de cet homme extraordinaire que fut Yuli Turovsky, dans un concert dédié à sa mémoire. Sous la direction de notre chef Alain Aubut, nous vous offrirons des oeuvres de Benjamin Britten, Edvard Grieg et Ralph Vaughan Williams. L'Ensemble vocal Kô, sous la direction musicale de Tiphaine Legrand, se joindra à l'Orchestre dans une interprétation de la magnifique Fantasie sur un thème de Thomas Tallis du compositeur anglais Ralph Vaughan Williams dans une transcription inédite pour choeur et orchestre à cordes de François-Hugues Leclair. Vous pourrez aussi entendre une prestation toute spéciale du jeune pianiste Vincent Vu. Un concert en toute simplicité pour se remémorer un homme d'une grande passion! Montreal, Friday, January 25, 2013 The Nouvelle Génération Chamber Orchestra invites you to the second concert of their 2012-13 season, Northern Lights, on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 8 pm, at the University of Montreal's magnificent Salle Claude-Champagne to commemorate their late artistic director, Yuli Turovsky. Join us in celebration of the life and legacy of Yuli Turovsky, in a concert dedicated to his memory. Under the skillful hands of conductor Alain Aubut, you will be treated to works by Benjamin Britten, Edvard Grieg, and Ralph Vaughan Williams. The vocal Ensemble Kô, along with their music director Tiphaine Legrand, will join the Orchestra to perform the Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis by British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams in a transcription for choir and string orchestra by François Hugues Leclair. A very special perfomance by young pianist, Vincent Vu, will open the concert. An evening to help us reminisce about the passion and lasting memory of this extraordinary man.
