Salle Claude-Champagne
Orchestre Nouvelle Génération, under the direction of Alain Aubut and with pianists Eva Yulin Shen and Zhengyu Chen, revisits the famous Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens through a dialogue between music, theatre and visual art. With a touch of humour and Russian imagination, the distinctive character of each of the animals will come alive, from the kangaroo to the lion, the swan, the turtle, the elephant and the birds of the air. Texts written by Svetlana Migdissova will be presented by Igor Ovadis and Vitali Makarov along with animated vignettes created from original works for the Carnival of the Animals by Natasha Turovsky. The evening will also include the Ninth Symphony for strings by Mendelssohn as well as the world premiere of the winning composition from the ONG composer competition. A concert full of discovery for both young and old!
