BEETHOVEN & ROCK

March 23, 2013 - 8 pm

Beethoven’s music is without a doubt the most recognizable amongst the classical repertoire. But its influence reaches far beyond classical music and some of the most memorable rock song of all time owes a great deal to this master composer. To open the concert the String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat major, Op. 74 nicknamed “the Harp” will dazzle you with its vitality, heart, invention and accessibility. And make sure you stick around for the second half to be transported two centuries later in the world of rock music with a tribute to Freddy Mercury and Queen. We will, we will rock you…
